It has been three years since we finished a deep sky photo. Three years! I place the blame on Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn for the long drought.

 

Since we are probably rusty with capturing and the Juniper pollen is out in full force, the outside work was kept relatively simple with no calibration frames captured. A large amount of time was put into removing the tilt from the CCD. I think there is still a little there, but it's better than before.

 

 

Telescope: Astro-Tech AT115EDT
Camera: Starlight Xpress Trius-SX694M
Focal Reducer: Astro-Tech 0.8x reducer/field flattener
Filters: Astrodon Luminance, Astrodon Red, Astrodon Green, Astrodon Blue

 

 

Acquisition:
Astrodon Luminance: 20×5s, 20×15s, 20×30s on 2020-01-05
Astrodon Red: 20×5s, 20×15s, 20×30s on 2020-01-06
Astrodon Green: 20×5s, 20×15s, 20×30s on 2020-01-06
Astrodon Blue: 20×5s, 20×15s, 20×30s on 2020-01-06
