If using the scope for visual with something as heavy as a 2 inch diagonal with a 41mm panoptic eyepiece do you need the clamshell that holds the ota farther forward or will the regular 95mm clamshell do just fine?

If you use the offset, then balance won't be ideal with some light eyepieces. If you don't use the offset, some heavy combinations of cannonball eyepieces with massive diagonals won't be idea either. I have both clamshells for different mounts. I can make any eyepiece/diagonal combination work with either clamshell. I have to, because I don't have any visual sessions wherein I am using exclusively massive eyepieces all night.
