Hi!

Taurus is a large and prominent constellation in the northern hemisphere's winter sky. Its importance to the agricultural calendar influenced various bull figures in the mythologies of ancient civilizations, Sumer to Rome. Taurus hosts two of the nearest open clusters to Earth, the Pleiades and the Hyades, which are visible to the naked eye.

Of all the years I have been observing I noticed in the image a open cluster between the horns a few degrees
away from Aldebaran  Had to pull out my S&T pocket sky atlas turns out it is NGC 1647. More than sure I have
seen it but overwhelmed by the countless stars through out that area of Taurus.
