Going through their website, these are their current ranges made in Japan.

 

DBA VHD range

Imagic BGA VHD

Traveller BGA Mg

BGA ED

HR WP 8x42 porro

SR GA 8x32 porro

Explorer WA ED

Oasis - C+

Countryman BFA HDT

Marine PS II porro 

 

Any others are made in China.

I have a Opticron DBA VHD Plus 8 x 42 mm binocular. For the money it is a wonderful instrument.

I have several Opticron binoculars and a monocular, all of which have given me great satisfaction, as for the China versus Japan ?, lots of good optics coming out of China these days plus Opticron seem to run a fairly tight ship QC wise, D.

Are the model opticron 8x42 "waterproof" made in Japon or China?
This model is very old. I don't look information in web.
