I stopped by Astronomics to pick up a new AT72EDII yesterday. I almost went rogue with the credit card when I saw all the boxes stacked up. However I need a place to live and store my telescopes, so I refrained. My wife was impressed.

<--- I like red, the trim on the 60 and 72 is awesome. Leave them be... smile.gif

And I have been kicking around about going grey on the 72 and 60.

No thanks!

I doubt it gives up anything to the A-P Stowaway or TMB 92. Not only Optically but also mechanically. The difference would depend what someone is smoking and how much they visit these forums. "ESPECIALLY," if the person viewing is 50yrs old or older.

You will not be disappointed.  Its a terrific visual telescope that does not give up much to the A-P Stowaway.

Very nice lineup. Makes me want one of them. Maybe the 92 :)

The more I look at the family portrait, the more I am drawn to that AT92. I have to start saving my pennies for that...

I was among the first to receive the 130 during initial release. I couldn't be more pleased with the quality and value. All things considered, I'd rank it best in class if I had the credentials.

Beautiful scopes...

CN member John Szendy  did a fantastic job.  Here is a brief collection of the many photos he took for our website and ads.

Mike:

Very nice photos, very professional looking.

Still, I could do better. (See below) You have my address, just send me the scopes and I will send you some photos in 2022.

(TeleVue wanted to buy that photo to use in their promotions but I wanted to retain my status as an amateur photographer so I declined their offer of a complete set of Ethos eyepieces.)

Ok, feeble attempts at humor aside, my friend Jack bought an AT-102ED late last year. It's one of those scopes, it's just a stunner to look at. Nothing flashy, classic white but just a scope that somehow got it right.

Can a choice of colour not be offered on ATs, as WO do?

Jon,

Hmm... My question is exactly what are you looking at? scratchhead2.gif As far as I know you cannot really see stars in the daytime.

Astronomical hit a home run with the AT92. It is so small and portable with amazing optics and focuser.

I presume the TS 90mm is its European brother https://www.teleskop...ularauszug.html

Uh, no.

The TS is f/6.6.

The Astrotech is f/5.5.

So if they are related, only cousins, not brothers.

And I think Astronomics commissioned the AT 92, so I don’t think that it is sold elsewhere.

You are correct.  It is a proprietary design of ours.
