These Edmund Sam Brown booklets are great fun. Most of the booklets were

compiled into the Edmund book 'All About Telescopes' but not all the booklets

made it into the book:

Here's more of the booklets. Keep a eye on this auction the seller I think got the

decimal point in the wrong place:

With the cost of higher education these days, I'd consider that a bargainsmirk.gif

They are wonderful books. I have a half dozen or so (three of which I got direct from Edmund back in the mid60s), and would never sell them. I love the Sam Brown illustrations. But I didn’t pay even close to a tenth of that for all of mine.

Had one many years ago... wasn't overly impressed with its performance. No better than a NK65 or many other Japan made achromats. I realized then that Zeiss was slightly overrated...I remember hating that mount.

Well, my Goto 60mm F20 won out over my Telementor 2.   Both were made as "school" scopes, too.

Another 114 bites the dust:

Focuser: https://www.cloudyni...and-clamp-ring/

Eyepieces: https://www.cloudyni...tron-eyepieces/

Finder: https://www.cloudyni...nder-and-mount/

Cradle: https://www.cloudyni...14-tube-cradle/

That's all of the OTA parts except the tube, and no draw-tube/tailpiece in the focuser. Hopefully it goes to helping others back to life. Several of the ones in the loaner set have been incomplete and were made whole by such organ donors.

This one pretty much had, I'm amazed all of the glass ended up in good shape. The tube needs to be stripped and repainted, the mount has one broken adjustment bolt, the tripod is pretty ugly, the Unihex is frozen stuck, and there were no boxes. I'm hoping to get the unihex and mount working.

Found someone local more up to the restoration than I am.

I see the pedestal but absolutely no mount in any pics, other than a counterweight and shaft.
