I just post one of these in the Mizar thread and then I see this:

https://www.ebay.com...4fff0a558|iid:1

I'm also one who thinks that C90 was worth $390.

It's an Astro and looks mint. Keep in mind they don't come up that nice very often.

I suppose I'm bias. I've had mine since '79, it's excellent and the few times I entertained selling it,

the thought of getting $400 wouldn't change my life enough to warrant it.

p.s. they are about as cute as Baby Yoda

I seriously screwed up when I passed one up at $110 four years ago. Money was really tight.

I'm glad to see these Tasco 10TEs listed at such high prices, but there are really good deals out there if you search and are a bit patient. My first 10TE was complete and in good shape for $40. Yesterday I picked up an excellent 1959 10TE with the semi-rare sliding focuser for $65. No box or sun filter, but otherwise complete and looks almost new. As soon as I clean it up I'll post it in the "Finds" thread.

Tasco 7TE-5 still for sale in Port Deposit, MD for $50. Not many pictures but looks good. If I didn't have so many I'd be picking this one up!

I guess they made so many so that is why so many are for sale. I had bad luck with all my Orange C8's so maybe buyers are getting no so great or bad C8's and just selling them left and right.

It’s the 80mm and appears to be in great condition! I remember when Orion was closing them out in their clearance. I regretted not getting one. I always thought them very handsome telescopes.

Been watching that, too. I'm not really a fan of 60mm but $25 is a steal...

The Tasco scope shows a blue box in one of the photos. I can't tell if it may be a clock drive or some other accessory.

Someone local should ask the seller what is in the box,

Weird combo. A telescope to die for. Is that legal to own?

It's on here for $225 shipped.  I don't think it has the controller.

Thank you for that heads up. Soon yes. Downsizing now. That's hard for me, and I did not grow up with astronomy.

This hobby can be brutal.
