C90 Rubberized with accessories $165 in Boston, MA

https://boston.craig...7060760164.html

Okay you astro-junkie gurus, is this vintage/price good or too late in the C90 line?

Unitron prices seem to be really up. It will be interesting to see where it and the Goto end up.

Any thoughts on what this might be?  Looks like too much scope for that mount.

one went for $175 last May outta CN - just the C90, caps, diag. If the optics are good, what with the nice case, finder, eps, diag, t-adapter, tripod(meh), manual - looks like a nice deal - appears to be all there. I'd say 'yeah' if you can test it. Got a white, black, 2 oranges - no rubberized - they're all 'good performers'  and I (or kids) like'em with Comet Chaser 90° finders. I ain't no C90 fan-boi, but I like'em and that looks to be a nicely maintained specimen.

The "weird combo" link includes, among other things, a human skull.

Here is too much information on the question: is it legal to own:

Thank you AK! I put a lot of stock into what you guys say about these things; I really appreciate the info. Matter of fact, I can honestly say Chuck, Terra and now yourself (should I commit to this C90) are to blame for all of my "classic" acquisitions thus far)... what have ya'll done to me??

Might make an offer on that if no other takers... then gotta see if the wife is up to a day trip.

That's a good plan waytogo.gif Sent ya a PM on why I like that kit, and the one Zane just had up.

Amazing folk with centuries of experience and knowledge (all totalled). All of CN is like that - but Classic-ers are better(er/ish).

Looks like a run of the mill Tasco 4.5" Newt from the 70's or around 80.

That looks kinda like the original Tasco 11T which I think had the white tube.  Later models changed model numbers slightly and went to red tubes and maybe a little cheaper made gear and accessories?

The finder, cell, and mount remind me of an Asahi Jupiter. Could be optically very nice. There was a similar Selsi on eBay recently, and the tripod and mount base are still listed there.

Not seeing the tripod.   Still a steal if picking it up for ten bucks.
