Has anyone been able to access Don Rothman's  Astro Parts Outlet lately, does he have a new website title or something. I have never had any trouble getting to his website before.

Hi Grif, This is Mike in Fairbanks.

It has been closed as of the first of the year and will not re-open.  He is looking for someone to buy his entire inventory. In the meantime, he said that email is the best way to get in touch with him:

Well, I guess we lose another one of our long time well known telescope vendors.

Hope he does well in his new endeavors.

I'd seen some rumors on here, maybe a few months ago -  that Don was looking to sell. Which sucks, aside from him having a massive inventory... he was always was a big help for those odd or hard to find parts. Probably one of the best resources out there, I think. Good dude too.

I Wish him the best at finding a new owner, and for whatever he plans on doing from here.

If anyone took the time to go through his inventory, it is amazing. I do not know how someone can keep up with that much stuff. I guess it is a head ache trying to keep up with that much inventory, maybe he can relax some now, hope he is not sick.

Don took down his website but has an extensive catalog of several thousand products available for customers to receive via email and shop from. You have to contact him directly.

He's a great guy. I'm lucky enough to live close by. He completely refurbished my dad's old telescope and I'm now sharing my love of astronomy with my two daughters.

Thanks Don!

Welcome Don and thanks for the added info.

Any chance you'll be taking over anytime soon? thinking1.gif
