That's right, liquid crystal variable light filters, or LCTF's for short (Liquid Crystal Tuneable Filter)

No more rotating wheels of stacked filters to fool with...just electron filtering.

LCTFs have been utilized for aerospace imaging. I have yet to see one on the commercial consumer market, but look for them in the near future!

45% transmission of light polarized along the filter axis?  30nm bandwidths?  Maybe in 20 years.

Only 8G's - 16G's currently.  I'm sure this will replace standard filters........in 20yrs...
