Edmund heavy duty mount and eyepieces, but the OTA looks like ATM sonotube.

Edmund used metal tubes. If you look closely at some of the extra screw holes and dents, you can see this one is cardboard. Not even bakelite like in the RV6.

The OTA looks like it have a crack or some kind of break close to the focus assembly.

Paint does look fresh.

Digging the mount.

Orion by Vixen likely 80mm refractor, maybe a 90mm? on alt/az mount. $100 or make an offer.  Local pickup only in Fair Lawn, NJ. No pic of objective. Looks like it was stored in a garage, as there is a lot of dust. May have issues.

The mount looks okay as far as I can see.

The Orion/Vixen seems to be an 80mm.

There's been a few comments on this.

The tube is NOT original Edmund. It is appears to be some form of paper winding, definitely not metal. The tube has been repaired and repainted. There are numerous signs of patching and some repair holes (look below the finder brackets).  Wrong finder. Missing focuser knob.

The mount on the other hand is a very early edition, desirable by Edmund fans. Lots of nice things here: setting circles, motor drive, mount hub, all first editions and looking to be in nice shape. The whole pier/mount has some wow to it.

At $250 it's expensive.

I had mine posted locally for half that. I pulled the ad due to interest in including it with my Big Sale that went stagnant.

I have to admit that mine didn't have the original shipping box, but does have the inner blue accessory box.

Maybe that shipping box with the styro is worth $200 by itself?

pffft - only ~4 hrs south, still $100 shpg... hmm... Glendale! 4 Hrs away!

I have 339s; they're great - marvelous views and that one looks poma-peachy.

If I were a [Towa] set collector I'd offer at least $300, pay up to $400 $$ and

smile - even shipped for $100, because a foray to Glendale would run $50 in gas

plus a meal, stops (and traffic in that area bites) & it's getting harder to find

'complete and pretty' older pieces of astronomizing equipment.

Steep @ $400 I suppose, but is complete & pretty - not much effort required before

sitting near it in the garden at dusk, gassing about Towa's integral part in scope history,

the marvelous views about to be had thru the old eps and how nice it was to acquire it

with the original styro and card-board over tea or a tasty Riesling before an evening of

crafted, low colour, narrow field viewing - authentically hand-tracked...

You only have to pay once for many fine memories, and it is available - just a thought.

Personally, I'd/I'll put the money towards an LP 80ED f/10, keep our 1st and much loved

Towa 339 OTA from good Mr. Duncan and bid a fond "Fare thee well" to the rest.

Peace, Health and Good Skies
