I tried. It's a fourth the price of the two that were recently sold on ebay. I don't know what they were thinking. Someone got a great deal.

I'm going back outside. Clouds breaking up. The moon and venus are calling.
Wish I could see the comet from my yard.

I believe this is set up for terrestrial use through a straight through zoom eyepiece at the back.
I had a 60mm, older version - it worked, but field of view got really narrow with that Zoom...

Just because it has a Mayflower logo doesn’t mean it’s not a Tird. Every dog has it’s day and they had theirs. I think this came after it. The price is three times what it’s worth. No thanx!

Terra , I am trying to learn how to judge proper scope value , which I know very little about. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. I spend most of my time involved in prehistoric artifact collecting & geology , astronomy is a new gig for me. I have been out of it for 40 years , Piaget

I sold one for a friend years ago. I should have bought it for myself. Nice scope to sit in a chair holding it in your lap while you scan the Milky Way. Talk about grab and go! Instead of a mount, something to sit on.
Better than an Astroscan? The secondary is square, or is rectangular? On a stalk. Worth upgrading the secondary and maybe the stalk.
I've seen them show up for sale at the rate of less than one a year since then.

Yes, and my only 1.25" eyepiece that focuses natively with my '58 Questar's finder is that OLD Jaegers 16mm Erfle.

I don't think roaming around Rome would be a good thing now. But is a nice looking scope.

Been feeling guilty not watching the ads very closely lately, obviously a lot going on. On the flip side, doesn't seem like many ads floating around right now either.
Found this reflector at auction in Kingston, NY. My money is on it being an 8" Edmund Scientific, but would like to know what the Peanut Gallery thinks.

SGW is practically shutting down. Only a few locations that aren't in restricted states are still posting new items. I hope the ones that are will be taking appropriate precautions.
It's not really worth the risk, for the modest amount they take in from these. I suspect that many people who are stuck at home will be doing house cleaning and will flood them with donations once things open up, so in the long run they won't lose out.
