the time has come to order my tak.

but before ordering, i need your help.

1- I want to do visuals only.

2- FC-100DL

The FC-100DL is a full-fledged long focal length apochromatic refractor from Takahashi. This is the same FC-100DL that was offered in limited quantities in previous years. With the exception of the focal length, it is identical to the FC-100DF.

or may be the ,

The FC-100DZ is a fluorite doublet with a 100 mm aperture and an 800 mm focal length.   In this doublet design, Takahashi has paired the fluorite element with a low dispersion glass having a high refractive index.  This combination provides excellent optical performance across the entire visible spectrum with a Strehl ratio in excess of 97.6% across this range.  In addition, to satisfy the increasing demands of today’s imaging system, this glass combination minimizes the blue halo sometimes present at shorter wavelengths.  This halo intensity is reduced by about 50% when compared to the existing FC-100D

So if I understand correctly, this is what I need, is that it?

thank you in advance.

ps, I didn't want to put this post in the other tak treads.
so as not to disturb other posts and participants.

You saw Daniel's description stating that the DZ was the best of any of the new FC100DX models?

I got my DL last summer and it has been everything I dreamed it would be. You won’t regret it.

Then there is the DZ to consider for little more. Would also consider any used FC100D. The DL should be superb.

I would think you would be extremely pleased with any Tak like the DL or DF or ponying up extra for the DZ.

several people say the same thing as you, so I deduce that they are all very good taks.

is it better a longer focal length for planets?

There are now four FC100 models:
DL = f/9, DZ = f/8, DC & DF = f/7.4

The DL is wonderful on planets. I love mine. But all of the FC Taks are fantastic. If I were doing it all over again I would have to consider the DZ but I am very happy with my DL. I just picked up a nice used DF so I'd have something to travel with but I haven't had a chance to test it out much due to clouds.

After extensive research I got a used FC100DC last week. If weight and length (and price/used) is an issue, than the FC100DC/DF have the advantage over the other DL/DZ. If you want he best color correction and want to observe planets go for the DL. DZ is the said to be exceptional nontheless.

For me weight/length and transportability was most important, but also price as I wanted a "cheaper" grap and go scope.

best

Actually there should be just two models available, since the DL was meant as a limited edition and the DF/DC are basically the same telescope (only difference is the focuser: the DC has a smaller unit originally unable to handle 2" accessories, while the DF mounts a larger one. This larger focuser is also employed on DL and DZ models).
Because the DZ seems the "logical" evolution of the DC/DF, here my vote would go.
In my personal experience the DF model is already very capable; the DL adds a richer tone palette and, if used side by side, I perceive a slight increase of saturation.
If are not a fan of "orthos", the longer focal is not that useful and may even become an hindrance (I am not pleased by the DL's beavior when riding
the lightest mounts capable of handling the DF; furthermore, I feel a stronger "call" for heavy 2" accessories, whereas am satisfied with lighter 1.25" ones with the DF).

There's a used Tak DL in the CN classifieds with some extras for $1,875

There's a used Tak TSA 102 in the CN classifieds with a lot of goodies for $3,500. Note that there is a typo in the copy stating the scope is a TOA but it’s a TSA as stated in the list of extras and TSA is printed on the dew shield in the image.

All of the Tak 4" doublet refractors are top quality and you will "love" whatever one you pick.

The TSA 102 is a triplet and TSA optics (in the 102 and the 120 mm size) are some of the best optics produced for the amateur market. You cannot do better than a TSA 102.

Don't be mislead by the "blue halo", the DC/DF are totally free of visual CA and offer the widest field of the four. The DC is often overlooked because its assumed that it can't handle 2" eyepieces. Well it can, but you need the extra 2" back. It's also the lightest of the four but still delivers "TAK" sharp views. Great for planets and deep sky!

The DF has a more robust focuser and can provide a larger image circle for imaging. Other than that it is identical to the DC.

The DL gives a slightly cooler tone to the image than the DC/DF, and is totally free of false colour visually. Not quite as wide field as the DC/DF but stunning just the same. It's longer tube length should be considered if you're looking for compact grab and go.

It seems the DZ is something just a little bit special and is perhaps the most technically perfect of the bunch, optically speaking. I haven't used one yet, as its not being delivered until sometime in April.

If your interests lie in binary stars, lunar and planetary, or deep sky, you really can't make a wrong choice.

It's a reference to this thread and Danial Mounsey's review of the DZ.  Based on a recent post it appears that Danial has not done a detailed review of the DL (at least not in comparison to the DZ)  but is planning a side by side comparison of all the FC series Taks and a TSA as soon as the weather and the planets cooperate, so later this spring hopefully.  We are all waiting for that with bated breath.

I am in a similar situation. I want to buy a TAK 100mm with two considerations: (1) I want to use my 2" diagonal and 2" eyepieces. (2) I already have The SV 102 mm f/7 triplet, and I am very pleased with its performance and do not see how the view could be significantly improved. So, should I get the long-focus TAK DL for planetary and lunar while using the SV for wide-angle and lower power observing? I am strictly a visual observer. Thanks.
