During the early spring and late fall months, I find myself having to wait until at least 9:30 pm to start imaging DSOs because of the bright lights lighting the footy field in the middle of town. The lights are so bright, they damage the dark sky view for several kilometers beyond the direct view of the lights. But now that social distancing is a thing across Australia (and heaps of sports events have been canceled to encourage it), the footy field is dark at sunset—and I can start imaging right at the official start of nightfall.

Folks, we are trying to keep the Virus threads off the regular forums.  There are several in OTO, that you may join in.

Thanks! lock.gif
