Since nobody is going out or coming home from work/school/shopping/etc. anymore at night, all of the porch lights on my street are off. I went for a walk and saw that pretty much everyone in my part of town has followed suit.

I wonder what impact this has on light pollution overall.....

I can't speak to the light pollution but there have been several stories about the reduction in air pollution in China and Italy in the past month or two.

The air pollution will come back of course, but I do wonder if folks will realize that their outdoor lighting is kind of pointless when we're through this pandemic? Even if only a fraction of the general populace does, it'd be a huge boon.

I have read in a Chicago neighborhood, people are putting their Christmas lights back up on their houses for some cheerfulness. It is still fairly cold and bleak up there.

Doesn't stop Elon Musk & SpaceX from launching more space junk...  Be better off if he'd launch more Teslas into outer space...
