We’re excited to announce that the Teeter staff is growing later this year! Heather and Rob are expecting twins! Anticipated start date (due date) is September 2020. 😄 Seriously, we are so happy to be expanding our family and hope one day the Teeter Twins will join us in the workshop. Heather is healthy and we are looking forward to an uneventful pregnancy from here until September.

Work continues here in the TeeterScope workshop (as you can see we're still having fun and Heather wants to keep helping for as long as she can this Summer). Hopefully now it is clear why we’ve pinpointed September as our target for completing all telescope orders on the books. With newborn twins to take care of starting this Fall we will now definitely be taking Q4 of 2020 “off” to concentrate on them and we will revisit the restarting of new telescope orders in 2021.

Thanks to all of great customers who have supported us, championed us and continue to drool over our TeeterScopes.  We hope you’ll stick with us during our down time and be there for us when we begin designing and building telescopes again. 😃

Hm. Thought Teeter was history. Do I understand you to say that production is returning?

We still have 18 telescopes in the queue of work (from orders taken last year) that will carry us through until at least September of this year before we have all of that work done. Then, as stated above, I'll definitely be taking Q4 of 2020 off and then in 2021 we'll revisit taking new orders. No decisions have been made 100% one way or the other for stopping or continuing production.

One thing is for sure, I'm not going anywhere, so I will still be around to service and warranty our telescopes currently in use around the world. Our website says as much, as does our Press Release from July 2019 and the follow up video I did, all linked to on our website.

Teeter is not history. :-)

Congrats! I am sure twins will be a handful even at the best of times.  Double the fun though!

Focus on your family, and the community is always here when youre ready to dive back into making scopes.

Hobby-wise the sky is always there for us.

Congrats to you both.

I think you should make and offer a TwinTeeter in light of the occasion.  Start small (say 12" F4) and go from there!  grin.gif

Congratulation Rob and Heather!

I knew it, I knew it!  And I've said "Heather is pregnant" right at the time when you announced that you are not taking any more orders! It was maybe little bit premature but I had the feeling!!!

So, good luck with your "new hobby". From time to time I will still keep bugging you with a question here and there.

Does the increase in "staff" mean a potential increase in production when it restarts?  grin.gif

Hey Slav!  That's so funny, I actually thought about you and your comment on my earlier thread about dialing back production when Heather and I decided it was time to expand the family. We actually made the decision to dial back the telescopes last July a few months before we decided to have kids. The decision on the telescopes was made so my schedule could free up so we could make plans for the future (kids being just one such decision). The telescopes had become (and still are) all encompassing, they've completely swallowed up what free time I have/had. So Step 1 was beginning a slow down (or at least having an end in sight) for the telescopes and then we were able to plan better last Fall what the future was to be for the Teeter household.

But yes, please, reach out any time with questions. I'm here, I'm plugged into this market/hobby/industry and my workshop/tooling isn't going anywhere. I'm here for the long haul.
