Hello friends of sketching !

In times of the rampant virus, my movement profile was very tight today, in a 3x4 m rectangle, also known as an "back yard observatory". The weather is somewhat reminiscent of the cold period in February 2018. A gusty, disgustingly cold northeast-east wind creeps under my clothes. With a fairly good country sky and only a few, but noisy, aircraft, I sketch the comet C / 2019 Y4 Atlas and the galaxy pair M81 / 82.

Thanks for watching, Greetings Jens

You inspired me to check this out this evening with a ST120! Very similar, but I would say slightly less details. Thank you!

Jens,

Both sketches look really nice. The comet is impressive in your sketch; looks really nice in that starfield.

Who doesn't enjoy M81 and M82 in the same field of view, beautifully captured.

Very nice observations and sketches! The cold weather will stay for a couple days more but as long as it brings us clear skies we can't complain smile.png
