First sketch in a long time...first chance to get behind my scope in a dark sky at a difficult time.  The open clusters in Gemini are all so different in concentration, brightness, distance etc... NGC 2266 is an example of an older cluster with many of its members evolving off the main sequence into red giants.  I was able to make out a bit of color along an arc of stars to the southeast.  This cluster presents as diamond dust that teases one's vision as stars come in and out of view.  There is also a haze of unresolved stars that adds to the beauty of this cluster.

Regards, clear skies, peace...

Randolph
