Hi all,

A fine clear morning at 4 am today.  I got some reasonable captures of Mars, but Jupiter and Saturn were a bit underwhelming.  An attempt to capture Mercury, as Darren (DMach) has just posted, would have required me not to be back in bed catching up on some sleep!

Best wishes

Mark

Good one Mark!,

You braved the damp and dew to catch some decent seeing.  A lot of fine detail on your Mars.  Is the narrow band with a slightbluish tinge a hint of cloud  at the South?

Thanks guys. Ross, I don’t think I can call it clouds at this scale. I just assume S polar cap at this stage.

Thanks for the likes and kind comments. Yes Ross, my worry is I am concerned that the blue edge might be the result of a slight misalignment of the blue channel, given the lack of resolution for aligning the channels. I am still treating this as the apprenticeship for later in the year!

Very nice Mark!

Later that day, btw, I really wished I'd gone back to bed for a nap lol.
