Here is a report of venus performed last 30th march with a simple 76mm refractor built on the 70ies.
Images were majorily poor to average on some periods. The 80mm apo didn't perform better, just similar.
During the best periods anyway a banding pattern appeared through the seeing as shown.
Sky transparency was excellent, temperature cold, strong windy conditions from east side make difficult conditions of observation during the session.
AL was not there, bright spot as well.
Still bright poles bordered by a dark collar were as the more conspicuous features.
Starts of the dark streaks on the Terminator drawing the banding pattern were verified without filter and the W11 use filter Under 72x, 101x, 112x magnifications.
No need to involve bigger apertures when the sky conditions are failing. The images into the 154mm CC were terrific for getting Nothing strictly.
Nothing else, this report for only the AL and bright spot survey.

Good skies

Thanks Tom, Frank for your kind words and gents for their likes.

It is nevertheless stunning that a simple 3" can operate still, even coming from the 70ies; the 80 apo on the comparison side to side didn't perform more or more contrasty.

Good skies.

Hi,

here is the last attempt performed on 5th april with the same OTA.

Still a fine structure on the planet disk with both pĂ´les well bright and clear was collected.

AL was just suspected without the filter use, none of the color filters allow the support of such.

We will see later.

Images were good.
