Messier 83 is a big target and I may have lost the extreme edges, but it fills the field so nicely. I hope I did it justice.

Seeing all these up close and personal images makes me want to get out my 10" RC and shoot some galaxies. 

 

Of course the sky is cloudy...."there is the rub" !!!

I hope you don't mind but being inside my home for more then 2 weeks

now makes me want to do something, so I fiddled around a bit

with your image.

Can you tell us what settings you used to get such a wonderful image. I have a 224mc as well but havent had the skies to use it yet.

My normal run is a livestack. I use 16 seconds at 350 gain. I use darks and would like to use darks, but my light box is varying in brightness.

What software do you use for live stack. I have the asilive and was hoping to use it at some point.

I used sharpcap pro. It can use darks, and flats in livestacking.
