After much deliberation and months of procrastination, I finally ordered a 21mm Ethos from Astronomics. I believe I have just guaranteed us another three weeks of clouds and rain.

Very nice eyepiece. Good thing you are all the way over there in Texas. I too am getting ready to order a few eyepieces, so I hope my area is ready for some rain.

Good on you for ordering from our host, Astronomics, they could use support right about now. So could all of our favorite vendors I suspect.

Mike is on the ball over there! Ordered Ethos yesterday, arrived today. Going out tonight as this is the last semi clear night forecasted for us the next several days.

Next on the list is a cloud penetrating eyepiece.

I'm considering the 3.7, myself.  Not sure if I really need it.

The 21 Ethos is my second favorite eyepiece; my favorite is a 13. I view with a 12.5 inch, F5 Portaball.

The 13 is next on the list. I haven’t been able to give first light to the 21 yet. Clouds, clouds and more clouds!

The 13 Ethos is my all time favourite eyepiece as well.

I've wanted to try the 21mm for some time now, but my wallet keeps biting me every time I try. Someday, I'll win ;)  Funny thing is that when I got my first Ethos (17mm), I wasn't that impressed. The FOV felt like a novelty and I drove myself crazy looking around for the field stop. Then I learned to relax and simply take it in. Now I love them! I'm sure you'll be happy with yours.

I just plucked a 3.7 SX from the classifieds. One down two to go...

Since I had already made the Nestea Plunge on the 21, I went ahead  and ordered an Ethos 13 from Astronomics as well. Arrived yesterday and as usual the clouds rolled back in for the next two or three nights.

I had the 3.7 and 4.7 for about 6 months to go with my other Ethos eyepieces (21, 13, 8 and 6). They were excellent.

I let them go eventually because I slightly preferred the performance of the Pentax XW's 5mm and 3.5mm which I also owned. There was not much in it though.

The 13E is my favourite EP to just cruise around the sky with, that 13mm mark, or thereabouts is a sweet spot for a lot of my scopes.

I have them all and use the longer F/L's more than the shorter, however for those times when I want high mag (300X +) on a Globular (or similar),

the shorter F/L's shine IMO, especially the 4.7mm.

I too ordered the Ethos 21 from astronomics. Unfortunately I have to wait a while as Mike is awaiting shipment from TV. Waiting for TV to reopen so Mike can ship. I was deciding between the Ethos 17 or 21, as my current eyepieces are 41 Pan, 31N, 13E, 8E, 6E the 13 has been my go, and the 41P works well with my F10 . After speaking with Mike he recommended the 21E. Being new here B&H had my business, but any purchases going forward will be Astronomics.

I decided with Mikes help to bypass the 17 Ethos and go with the 13 as I have the 17.3 in the Delos.
Haven’t been able to try it yet.

I can’t stop ordering! I have really enjoyed the Ethos 21 and 13 so now I have the 17 and 10 on the way.
