Hello friends of sketching the moon,

I can´t not leave to sketch this days... here one is once more "Polaroid" - lunar sketch. Moon sketch, pencil put down, ready...The air was rather quiet, so that also small craters could be seen. The sketch takes 36 minutes, exactly on time, before the moon in the metre-high hedge trees of my "light neighbour" disappeared. Unfortunately, he leaves everything upwards grow, until they tip over. Everything from in the direction of south southwest remains to me hence, unfortunately, concealed. I made teh sketch on Canson black paper with Conte Pastell pencil in white, grey and black.

Thanks for watching and clear skies, Jens

Jens,

Very nice sketch of crater Walther with that great long shadow from the tall central peak.

One of the interesting thing about craters that cast these long shadows is watching how they point in slightly different directions due to libration.

I love it! You sketched it "polaroid" speed so the shadows are caught in the act, so to speak.
Fine work Jens!
Regards, clear skies...

Hello Jens,

again a pleasure to look at one of your sketches! I like especially the detailed texture and shadows on the crater floor. Well done!

Clear skies!
