Had the ota out last night with the new CEM40 (will be ordering the CEM60 for this one very soon). What great views with my 8 and 13 Ethos. Crisp, clean edges and pin point stars no matter where I slewed. I put on my new Baader 2" M74 CL, 2"-1.25" CL adaptor, Baader prism diagonal and I was off to the races. This one is a keeper for many a years to come. I will primarily be using it for visual as I already have the Esprit 80 for wide field and the C-8/E for planetary. But I wouldn't be surprised to find me one night slipping the 294 pro in for some eaa time flowerred.gif waytogo.gif

That looks great!  How are you liking the CEM40?

Is that the tripod that comes with the CEM40?

do you feel it’s rigid enough?

or is it stronger than it looks?

I always liked the look of the Esprit series.

120mm is a great size for a refractor.

Been awhile since I have been on.

This is one very nice ota with great quality/performance. Right now I am using it for visual only. I've have only had it out twice here in NE IL as the sky's have not been favorable so far this calendar year. Haven't even had a chance to try out IPolar or slip in my QHY 5-II and run PHD2 for PEC. Visually for this setup, the 2" tripod is fine, but there is no doubt that for any ap one would want the tripier.

Nice rig.  Hope that you get to use it more soon.
Please send some of those clear skies down my way.
