I've always liked this little section of Carina and with my current rig I can't fit it all in, so why not?

This is, of course, a narrowband image using H and O.

Big one here

Well Lee, I'm not sure everyone who looks at this image will actually truly appreciate just how good it is..?

Your mastery of sharpening techniques, shown in your processing, is 1st class, you have a level of feature detail visible here (not just pseudo detail/processing artefacts, created from hard sharpening and less than ideal application of deconvolution/wavelettes and then posting a small image) that is present in very few images and I'd go as far as saying certainly from no other 8" telescope anyway! ohmy.png

I like the colour palette too, one for the pool room waytogo.gif

A scan of the Full Resolution version is a must everyone.

Mike

You're far too kind, Mike! I am happy with the detail / "luminance" data but I'm still not entirely sure about the colour. One day I'll get this narrowband colour sorcery thing figured out :)

btw, haven't seen you around on IIS for a while now. Are you on a forced holiday or something? confused1.gif
