I was looking for Jerry Lodriguss’ book,”A Beginners Guide to DSLR Astrophotography”. I found it on Amazon on CDROM, but the asking price new is $907!! Is that right? Does it come with a telescope?

From his page it's only $39.95; some sellers on Amazon advertise for ridiculous amounts.

It's significantly less expensive on Jerry's site:

Aye, buy it direct from Jerry. He's a great guy, smart, but he doesn't over-complicate things.

Not that the book isn't worth it... :)

However, how those idiot things happen on Amazon and Ebay is by trying to price higher than the competition. There's software that does this, and if two people use it, you can get really ludicrous results. There was some item a long time ago (I forget what) normally around $20 that was selling for over $1,500,000.

I'll sell you my copy for $425.  That's less than Brett's charge and way less than the Amazon price. Really, it's a great deal!  I hope if you can wait for shipment until I pick up my copy from Jerry Lodriguss’ site.  lol.gif

Jerry probably won't write out a copy in longhand for $907 but you could ask him for a bid...

For $907, I would hope for at least a couple hours private lessons.

Thus way he only needs to sell one per month on Amazon to pay off his mortgage.
