Was wondering if someone can help. I was looking to see which rail/bar to purchase that will fit atop my 8" EdgeHD for guidescope or other accessories. Not looking to break the bank... I have a 70mm guidescope, but want to mount it on a rail vs the small dovetail holder that comes with the EdgeHD..

Thanks..

Any difference than the Celestron CG-5 or CGE? Will this work https://www.celestro...ar-kit-8-narrow

ADM seems a little pricey...

Check out Scopestuff for the mounting accessories at a very reasonable price.  Lots of variations there for mounting accessories and balancing.

I use the V series on my 8" SCT.

Pricey yes but high quality that fits perfectly.

I use a Celestron CGE rail on my C-9.25 to carry a TV-85.

ADM and Losmandy rails are top quality. The Celestron GCE (wide) than the D rails are bit lighter but still serviceable.

You may also find smaller extruded aluminum slotted rails sold for use on scopes. The same or similar  rails are sold as T track. I do not recommend them for a guide scope.

Historical note. Celestron is very likely the originator of  wide rail that is now generally called the Losmandy or D rail.

Yes, that should work for you. I went in a similar way with my C14 until I eventually replaced them with ADM units which are much stiffer and fit like a glove.
