Just a quick note to let you know that we will be carrying both of these items (FRA400/5.6 scope and 200mm f/4 Astro Lens) in the US. We will begin accepting pre-orders via our website shortly once we get closer to the availability dates for these.

We specially designed a special ultra-short focal reducer FRA72RD, combine with FRA400/5.6, you can achieve a optically faster F3.9 focal ratio to reduce the exposure time, full frame is also supported

Is there a page for more information on this reducer for the 72mm quintuplet?

This may be an impertinent question but can you reveal which ED glasses are being used in all 3 Askar instruments?

So you are now implementing the skywatcher policy of not naming glasses. Is this sharpstar's new policy going forward or just for the Asiar line?

Thanks.

Yes, we think people will see the final performance for a OTA but not only ED type, the key is good design and good making quality.

I'm looking forward to the FMA180. It will make a nice companion for the 76EDPH I recently acquired for visual use. This combination should make an interesting and portable wide field observatory.

I would like to see a review of this telescope in Astronomy Technology Today. You should contact the magazine. Their reviews really tell amateur astronomers the real quality of telescopes their experts put to the test! Many people won't invest in a new product until sufficiently reviewed by trusted experts!

More so, since the glass is not disclosed, the only way to have an idea of the capabilities of the product is through third-party objective and detailed reviews.

We appreciate the need for unbiased objective reviews for new products as well, and we are already working with Sharpstar/Askar and other publications on this. As an example, we just received a Sharpstar 150HNT back from Sky & Telescope. Look out for that review in the magazine later this summer.

44mm full frame image circle is supported.

Can you inform us of the imaging circle when using the reducer (f/3.9)?

I'm interested in this scope. Can you provide several example full-frame images (RGB and monochrome) taken using the f/3.9 reducer?

Also, what does "Petzval like" mean? Is this a Petzval design or not?

Thank you.

Yes, please send us your email to sales@askarlens.com to get the images.

Of course, it is Petzval design as other morden flat-field astrograph on the market, just not classic standard petzval.
