If you need assistance with a part or software help, who you gonna call? Either one of these two gentlemen, George or Brian (Carl Sagan II).

What a fun day, but my feet are sore.
And it's f/6! No announcements for availability date yet.
But I do not think it matters thou... this scope will be out of reach for us.

Now if we can only get rid of the clouds.
pretty funny - they made Carl a special lanyard! I was just telling someone how we all have a celebrity doppleganger and you get no choice who it is - you can only hope it's someone good. The person I was talking to looks just like David Byrne of the 80's Talking Heads...not bad!

I always held the Takahashi TOA 150 as the gold standard of optical correction and perfect for solar astronomy at many wavelengths. The new AP155CS beats it, and so does the AP190CS. And at f/6. They are getting so close to a mirror in color correction.
But I am still very happy with my AP155EDF.

Suddenly this song is in my mind:
These boots are made for walkin' And that's just what they'll do...One of these days, these boots are gonna walk all over you...
Congrats with your choice Karen!

I'm in my nascent stage of Astronomy Acquisition Syndrome ... and I think I've got Apitis! AFAIK, there is no effective vaccine.

I'm in my nascent stage of Astronomy Acquisition Syndrome ... and I think I've got Apitis! AFAIK, there is no effective vaccine.
In my experience APitis Symptoms are: sudden fascination with FedEx delivery schedules, developing irrational justification, depleted bank accounts, ultimately sleepless nights, and long term facial spasms resembling a smile. I’ve come to believe that while there is no cure or vaccine, some relief can be achieved by joining a support group searching and sharing collectively for the latest news and reviewing detailed specifications over and over again. There are similar afflictions, but I believe APitis is the cruelest of them all.

Exciting to see new scopes from Astro-Physics !!! I got very lucky finding mine. Late model 155EDF, probably made in 2003. I have yet to be able to detect a serial number on the lens. Viewing the moon last night with a 4mm, and easily went to 3mm as well.

Another view of the 155. Mine came with the 4 inch FF & I picked up the TeleCompressor for it some time back. Found the 1200 mount used as well.
My C14 normally rides on the 1200, but that's not a quick take down or put on type of scope. Once it's up it stays up for awhile. C11 much easier on/off.
