I’m looking for these:
male m42 to sct female adapter
and
male c mount to male m42

There aren’t many around from a quick search engine search or they cost a fortune. Anyone know where I can find them affordable? Thanks.

These might pop up in CN classifieds "garage sale" ads. Just keep an eye out, or post a Want ad.

From a quick search on e-bay there are reasonable 2 adapter solutions to get where you want to go.

If you use two adapters then for male M42 to SCT female, how about using a

"M42X0.75 Female to SCT Male Thread 2", 24 TPI Telescope Adapter"

with a

"M42 x0.75 to M42 x1 42mm - 42mm male-to-male coupling Ring Adapter for Filters"

if you need a M42x1 connection or

"M42 to M42 42mm - 42mm male-to-male coupling Ring Adapter for Filters"

if you need a M42x0.75 male (T2 thread) M42x0.75 male to M42x0.75 male

For the C mount,

"SV163 Camera Adapter T2 T Mount to C Mount Male Thread" with the appropriate male to male adapter from above.Note the T2 is just a M42x0.75 female.

I use RafCamera for custom adapters. He charges a fraction of what PreciseParts charge.

good suggestion but I need SCT female not SCT male...

the second suggestion for the C mount works...but was hoping to have a dedicated adapter instead of 2 so I can reduce the distance between a sensor and the filter wheel (vignetting)

Whoops, my mistake, but searching under "sct female" on e-bay yields several SCT Female to Male T-2 adapters.  Searching on "M42 Male to T T2 Female" can get you to a M42x1 male thread.

Agree that a single adapter solution might (but not always) add less adapter thickness and be a cleaner solution.  However, price wise sometimes a two adapter solution is cheaper.
