I have a 6D and lenses and a small Sony camera (RX100VI) of which the latter makes good widefields despite its relatively smaal sensor sizr.

On DPReview I stumbled upon a thread using a Canon Powershot SX530HS superzoom with a 1/2.3" sensor making nice astrophotos. Yes, with the camera, no telescope used.

But the RX10MK4 (or even MK3), which is similar, but has a larger sensor (1" like the Sony RX100 series)  and a larger lens in mm aperture than the Canon Powershot.

Are there any experiences with such astrophotography with this Sony camera ? That makes astrophotography life easier.

You could try looking at lonelyspeck to see if there is anything on the website.

Stay safe,

Glen.
