The 7th day moon was blotted out by a Pacific marine layer last night, so I got out at 5:00 PM PDT to get this shot of Day 8. It has a blue cast because the sky near the meridian was dark blue. Focusing was hard because the sun was illuminating the Approaching coastal fog. The Questar once again came through with nice crisp optics to allow me to share this shot. I had read about daytime lunar photography, but this is my first.
