The QHY-GPSBOX is the professional high precise GPS hardware time stamp device for some of the QHYCCD rolling shutter cameras.  It communicates with some of  the QHYCCD camera with the 6pin cable.

To compare with the QHY174GPS, it can get some bigger sensor camera has this feature. But QHY17c4GPS stil has better accurate then rolling shutter cameras. Becuase QHY174GPS is the global shutter camera and the build-in GPS module can meassure the accruate time of the beginning and ending exposure time of the whole image.  For rolling shutter camera, the QHY-GPXBOX only gives the time of the frame sync (like QHY600,QHY411) or the start/end exposur time of one row (like QHY4040,QHY42PRO,QHY2020 etc)

Can it be connected to the camera with the QHYCFW3 already connected?

I mean both filter wheel and GPS module connected at the same time ?

This is using another speically port : the QHYCCD 6pin GPS port. Normally this port is not installed when we ship the standard cameras. If need this connection. Need to tell us before order the camera. Or,  If you have camera already, You can ask us to send you a new back case with such a 6pin socket with the GPS-BOX.

So it can work with the QHYCFW3 together, QHYCFW3 is the 4pin QHYCCD CFW port, not the 6pin GPS port.

Thank you.

I already have the QHY163M.

So the back case is simple to replace i guess.

This product is quite interesting for use in measuring asteroid and stellar transits :)

Yes, The QHY163M support the connection.  It should easy to replace the back case.  And we will prepare a step by step manual soon. There is only one thing need to consider. If you use the 12V cooling .It is much easy, The QHYGPS-BOX will draw the power from 12V and there is a small board to convert the 12V to 5V for this box. But if you do not want to use 12V, just want to using the 5V(from USB cable) , it will become more difficult because need to fly a 5V from the USB board to the 6pin.
