I like the Nikon NAV SW range. Though not owning a 7mm, the 10mm I do own coupled with my Nikon EiC16 1.6x Barlow makes a great 6.25mm. That Barlow is designed for SWs particuarly.

Nikon SW eyepieces are light and compact. Ideal for bino viewing.

In preparation for this summers planetary obseravation I am preparing to buy a quality eyepiece. Since I am planning on using it in three different scopes alone or with barlow, I was thinking of something in the 7 mm range. The scopes are a 8" Celestron Ultima, a 130 AP EDT, and a Televue Genesis SDF. I have narrowed my choice down to the Pentax XW and the Televue Devite. Any opinions or other options?

I used through my old C8 two XW7mm in bino: simply great! Sharp across all field, neutral color, on the moon it seemed to look through a spacecraft porthole....XW 7 is a great eyepiece, on pair with my Pentax Ortho SMC 7mm still with bigger eye relief.
