Amazing work. Your son will treasure this his entire life and the memories you make with him will be priceless!

The image of a kid getting a birthday present twice his own height, and a real telescope to boot, and one his dad put rafts of effort and imagination and creativity into:  that's just a great image.  And you've thought about what would work for him: some buttons for the thrill but something that challenges him too: that's respect for the little guy's brain and curiousity and growing ability: way cool.

What a excellent gift for a young man. The love, devotion, use of your machine shop talents to develop and deliver such a fine looking scope. Kudos to you both and wishing you clear skies.
