Hello,

 

Trying to determine of there is any value in this telescope.  It belonged to my great grandfather.  He was a carpenter so he may have built the case shown.

To post photos here you must resize.
It is a 4 inch Dynascope. I had one but passed it along as I acquired too many vintage scopes for my small space.
I always liked the look of it and you will find a few interesting threads here.
Value? Only my opinion but a hundred dollars seems about right to me.
More of a collector item these days.

Predates me, but give it a try and see what it can do.

Looks in great shape for such an old scope.

You do have eyepieces which are rare to find! They’re not the standard .965. It also looks to be in good shape. That being said, there’s been one for sale on CL nearby for over two years. Price fluctuates every few months between $100 and $200.
