A celestial object appears to be blocking part of Venus.

This is one of my first times observing Venus, I would like to know what object is blocking Venus. The object has a bluish tint. [attachment=1529346:IMG_0249 (3).JPG]

Nothing is blocking Venus.  Since Venus’ orbit is inside the earth’s orbit it displays phases similar to the moon’s.  Right now Venus is displaying a crescent phase.  The area you can’t see is just because it is not lit by the sun.  The blue is from the earth’s atmosphere or your telescope’s lenses.
