The best pic I've been able to get of my favorite lunar feature...

Handheld afocal; 6" f/8 Dob; 9mm Zhumell LER eyepiece; old Canon PowerShot A700; single frame stacked on itself for some contrast adjustment, cropped, and downsized in GIMP.

Cropped further; full scale. I haven't looked into whether GIMP can do that frame-stacking-for-sharpness thing.

Super image, Joe!

Bianchini's centre in darkness, and the 2 promontoriums look majestic too.

Helicon and Le Verrier look excellent too.

But what stands out for me in not only Sinus Iridium, but Dorsum Heim passing through C. Herschel too.

Great work, Joe.

Thank you from Aubrey.

Thanks... A phone camera actually would be better suited to this.
