I've seen BillP's great review of these.  Who else is using them?  How do you like them?  Thanks.

I think the Vixen HR range are all superbly sharp, contrasty and unusually comfortable to use, even the 1.6mm. I have them all and won't part with them. Terrific for lunar, planetary and binary star observing when combined with a top class scope.

Agreed. They are exactly what I am looking for for high power work.  The bonus is you can take off the rubber top to get your eye closer for the 10mm eye relief.  I have take off my glasses too.

I bought Agena's last HR 2.4 last night...

I'm sure they'll get more.

Got the whole set. Started with the HR 3.4 (still my most used of the set in my Tak TSA 120, FS 102 and FC 76 DCU). They are stunning planetary performers.

I bought the 2mm before the sale to use on my Stowaway for 306X and the Tak 76 DCU for 285X as these scopes can take the higher magnifications like these easily for planets/moon and double stars.

I guess if you have younger or really good eyes. I had the 2.4 HR and found it to be less than ideal in my Stowaway for the moon but love the 3.4 HR I have although it magnifies more lIke a 3.2mm comparing it to my Tak 3.3 TOE.  I ended up with  possibly the last available new Tak 2.8mm HI LE for my highest power eyepiece which worked out much better for me.  That eyepiece is a real gem, perhaps my favorite.

Yesterday, I watched the three planets with Tak FC-50 400mm and HR-2.0mm. It's very interesting to see in such a insane high magnification. Of course, no problem, no complaints , rather surprised with that razor sharp planet images, especially in the Mars.

HR is fine eyepieces, without doubt.

Hiromu
