Hi,

When I used the hyperstar and then remounted the secondary mirror, do I need to collimate it from zero?

I don’t think so because when I remove the secondary mirror I don’t touch the screws.

Best regards

My HS had been installed and removed probably 100 times now and it never affected the collimation.

If you want good images you should 'check' collimation each time you use the telescope -  that is easy.  If it 'checks' OK  you are good to go. However if the 'check shows that collimation is off, "Adjusting" the collimation involves a whole lot more than 'checking' - as you should know.
