The moon was really beautiful today. I shot this from the top of my roof. I forgot to use my IR filter.  This is a single shot using my Canon T6i.  I tried my best not to over expose the very bright areas of the moon but this turned out to be very tricky.

Thanks, did you get a chance to grab a shot last night ? 

 

 

I can't wait to try this out when the moon is a bit higher in the sky. The moon was at about 20 degrees in declination when I took the image.  I did a negative on the image, I think is has a cool look to it, and you can appreciate the rays around tycho a little better.
