Good deal! waytogo.gif Clap.gifI waited about 3 months to receive my AT72EDII so I know there can be some anxious thoughts while waiting.

Cheers! Bob F. smile.gif

Bob F.,

What eyepieces do you find yourself using most often on the AT72ED2 and for what objects?

What is everyone's obsession with having to wait on their Astro-Tech telescopes? I ordered my AT102EDL on 07/29/20 and now I am patiently waiting for its arrival. It has only been 78 days, 12 hours, 32 minutes and 18 seconds.

or

6,784,338 seconds

or

113,077 minutes

or

1884 hours (rounded down)

or

78.5 days (rounded down)

or

11 weeks (rounded down)

or

21.45% of 2020.

But you don't see me obsessing about the wait.

Astronomics is now saying that December is looking more likely...

That combined with some of your posts - today I weakened, so now I’m waiting on an AT102EDL and an AT72ED2 (which looks like could be in our hands in less than a month).

Bruce.

I placed an order of AT72EDII, as they said only less than 10 available in the current shipment.

Yep, that was pretty much what they told me a couple of days ago when I gave them my credit card#.

Bruce, you are a very generous gifter waytogo.gif. I have a few years to go but I'm going to give myself a 150 for my retirement also. Was it still in stock? Would love to see a picture of it mounted. Good for you!

Mike B. posted this image in another thread a while ago. Very interesting size comparisons. Look at the 152. Wow that's pretty long.

I'm always asking everyone to post an image of their new Astro-Tech here so I'm posting a pic of mine. This is what inspired me to ask, "Who's waiting on a new Astro-Tech to arrive?"

Your 130 and mount/tripod is gorgeous Mike!

How does it perform?

I’ll post photos of mine when they arrive. At this time I’m planning to use a Stellarvue M2C with one of their pier/posts. Wanted to get a wooden tripod but couldn’t make up my mind, so to save a little money while I think about it I’ll be using a CG5 tripod. Might even use that long term...

PS Thinking the AT72ED2 will arrive early November, and the AT102EDL could be December or maybe slip into January, who knows?

Who else is waiting?

Bruce

I have seen that pic in CN a while ago, and then I wanted to see that again, but couldn't find that thread. Glad that you posted it again! waytogo.gif

Which one is 80EDT and 80ED? The right-most one on the first row is 92 APO? So 80EDT (480mm F6) is missing because it's shorter than 92?

Very nice pic. The little 72EDII looks cute with its baby brother the 60ED up front - just one big happy family.smile.gif

Kim, if you click on the image, the one that pops up has more detail - you can read the text printed on the scopes dew shields, if you zoom in. The 92 is on the top right, the 80ED is next to it. There’s no AT80EDT shown.

Bummer, my 111 isn’t in the photo. LOL

Mark, my 102EDL is not shown either, though it’s body is so close to the 102ED that in that photo it probably wouldn’t make since to show both. Plus the 102EDL hasn’t been around long enough for a family photo.

Is the 111 too new for that shot?

Bruce.

It was not in stock.  It is on a boat as of October 6th.  I will get a photo when I can.  The time will fly by for retirement.

Enjoy

GM8 and AT130EDT

This is an oldie but I haven't posted it in awhile. Both the scope and mount are a great performing combination although I haven't been able to use them lately due to home remodeling.
