There is no doubt these are uncertain times, all of our normal expectations when it comes to time and some day to day activities are not what they were this time last year. Last year, when we ordered something, we received a expected delivery time and it arrived usually when it we expected it to. Well, that certainly isn't the case now is it?

We are doing a room remodel at home and my wife is acting as the general contractor (she's extremely  capable) but she is going nuts trying to track deliveries because they are so many delays, changes and whatnot. For example, we were expecting a delivery yesterday and were tracking the order, then all of a sudden the delivery the delivery changed to Saturday. Well that normally isn't a big deal unless you are scheduling the electrician, the painter, and the dry wall guy to all come between today and Saturday. You can just imagine how frustrated my wife was.

I'm a Astronomics customer too and know they are doing their best and even in the best of times, they have little control when AT scopes will arrive because they are so dependent on the manufacturer, the shipping company, ship schedules, customs, and trucking companies. Their supply chain isn’t horribly complex but for a small company it’s plenty complex. So the last several posts about "it will come when it will come" are 100% spot on.

For those that are anxious to try their new toy, I know it's tough to wait (especially if you are younger and used to getting everything right NOW) but I'm sure you are realizing this is the new normal, well at least for now it is.

Maybe the one thing we learn through all this is to be patient and trying to relinquish some of the control we have become used to.

Very well said, and I could not agree more.

I also got a text notification from Fedex, but I am not sure whether it's a scam or not. It appears to be a scam because Astronomics website still says "processing".

I am very cautious to click the link...

I would say it's probably a scam, I wouldn't think only one or two of us would get shipping, I would think it would happen in bunches.

Here is some info from FedEx:

http://www.fedex.com...dulent_use.html

If you are unsure, report it. I'd guess astronomics would email you the tracking info first. Usually when I get a text from UPS they don't have you click a link or anything just a heads up!

Thanks for the Fedex link!

I've just got an email from Astronomics, that they just received the shipments today and started to ship them!

Alright Bruce! Anxious to hear a report on that scope and a picture of it mounted. That'll be my next scope in a couple of years.

Hmmm, are any of you waiting for the AT scope located in GA?

Looks like I received the incorrect tracking number. PM me if you believe it’s yours.

Bruce

I don't know exactly, but am pretty sure the shipment included AT72EDII. Hopefully he meant other scopes as well.

From an answer Mike gave me back in September, the timing is about right for my AT92 to be here. I can only hope I get an email. elephant.gif

My long awaited AT60ED shipped out to me today, so those were part of the shipment too it would seem. Hopefully many others will be getting shipment notifications soon.
