Hi Everyone,
Here is my first attempt to image the Rho Ophiuchi region from 41*N where it only rises about 25* above the southern horizon. I've long wanted to image this but it would take several clear nights in order to get a reasonable integration with my old setup. Not so with the RASA! This is 1.8 hours (219 x 30-seconds) total integration time. The light gradient was really wicked due to the low altitude, and that took me a few tries to figure out how to handle it given that the field is full of nebulosity that I didn't want to kill, but I'm very happy with how it turned out. Using the GradientXTerminator plugin in Photoshop - with Detail set to "Coarse" and Aggressiveness set to "Low" - gave the best results. I had already done Photometric Color Calibration in Pixinsight, so I unchecked the "Balance background color" option.
Clear skies,
Damien
