Hi all,

My motor control board has gone bad, I get the message "CAUTION Both axes no response" from the Hand Controller.

Pretty sure the board is kaput, I was using it via EQdirect and it quit so went back to the Hand Controller to check.

I also tried to reprogram the motor control board (which I did about 6 months ago) but it fails to find the controller.

Does anyone know if there are replacement boards available?  I purchased the complete setup from Orion in 2014.

I will contact Orion but I just wondered if there is a source for spare parts?

Many thanks,

Geoff

Well you can buy the whole GoTo kit from Orion's website but for just the board, i would check eBay.  Otherwise not sure...

Yeah hardly worth it though that's $500 - I am thinking of an upgrade anyway...

Looked everywhere - nothing undecided.gif

Try searching for a Skywatcher mount controller board since they are made by the same manufacturer (Synta). I believe the Orion SkyView Pro is equivalent to an Skywatcher EQ5. Orion just rebrands their products. These guys sell Skywatcher parts and have replacement boards:
