Mars 14 November Celestron C8 with 462mc, Antares 1.6x Barlow and ADC 1.5 Drizzle
Better seeing, although honestly seeing has been bad so often this year I have quite lost my sense of it, so I am not sure if the seeing last night had moved up to what I would have called fair or good in 2018 (last opposition) or 2019. But why I am rapt and have posted is that last night I could see good definition of Martian Cloud and dust over and beyond the dust defined Valles Marineris. Mars is changing/

Hi everyone. I decided to try to make an animation of several images from the same session as my last post. These are images from Nov 12 starting at 0357 UT and ending at 0447. C8 at F/17 using a Neximage 5. 300 second captures with a bit over 33,000 frames per capture. Seeing improved and I tweaked focus during the session. I used PIPP to get 3000 frames then AutoStakkert to stack 1500 frames per capture. Adjusted colors in GIMP levels, then made the animation in PIPP.
Clear skies

Hello,
wow, there are some awesome pics shown here! Very impressive.
Normally, I‘ve very bad seeing conditions at my observing site, but sometimes, there are short moments of hope...
both taken 2014
both taken 2020
All pics are made with my 8“ MCT, and I‘m still learning...
Cheers Markus
