We've had really clear skies last couple of weeks. And I think was living under a rock, and just came to stumble upon an article about NEOWISE on Saturday morning. So I spent almost all day Saturday trying to figure out where to go to view. Decided on a bike trail nearby.

I went there early morning just before 3:30am and saw the comet rising over some houses. By the time I was able to setup my cameras and take test shots, it was already a little way up. Still got about 1 hour of good timelapse pics on my 6d II and a7 III, both at around 70mm, one with f/2.8 and one with f/4.

While the timelapse was running, I took some more pics of the comet as well as Venus, Jupiter and Moon. All pics attached.

My kid arrived at the bike trail around 4:30am and I started showing stuff to him and I forgot to ramp down the shutter speed until it was too bright already, so the timelapses are too bright in the end.
