And all these for how much?

Kudos to Johns Hopkins University. They have stolen an alien technology and made an out of this galaxy breakthrough.

I hope they are not attacked from outer space.

"Its performance is even better than most telescopes with hundreds of dollars."

At least they hired English majors to write ad copy.

See, you guys have it all wrong, this isn't some new technology, like the aforementioned luminous flux capacitor, this is MAGIC.  They found some down on his luck enchanter willing to work for mundane dollars and bind demons and give the infernal site to normal mortals.  Of course you may imperil your soul by using it. smile.gif

Lets all be serious for a change !

Don't laugh NASA has scrapped the Web Space Telescope and has decided to send one of these into orbit instead. No joke, that good - and all the trouble with Hubble just wasn't worth it. Can't wait to see the images.

If I see that one of my telescopes has hundreds of dollars, I’ll be confiscating them right quick.

Now, this should be enough to crash the price of Apos. If Taks should sell for more than $50, they should be run out of business.

I had to send a complaint on Facebook, because my feed got completely jam-packed with ads for this scope, after I had read the link in the OP. I reported one of the ads as being "misleading or fraud" and that took care of it. A drastic measurement, for sure, given the miraculous views the scope offers, but after the 17th ad in the first hour, I got a little tired of it... I got ads from at least three different companies selling it...

I also tagged it as a scam on Facebook. Two different companies selling it.

But on a serious not, Facebook algorithm is working against the sellers, pushing the ad to experienced amateur astronomers and stargazers.
They stand to sell more, if it is pushed to newbies or those who know nothing about telescopes.
They are in a catch-22 situation here.
The falsehood is just so outlandish and the most over-the-top deceptive marketing I have seen in a long time.

I fell for this.

I had to see how they get 47x the resolution out of a normal 40mm.  And 7.5x magnification per mm.

https://skortu.com/products/zoom

I'll let y'all know how it works out.   Or not.

The link no longer works... I guess John Hopkins got a hold of them.

Probably a DOS attack from the Telescope Manufacturers Association (TMA) to stop these guys from running them out of business. This is war.

But grief no more, there is another link. You had better snap one from here before TMA hits. You get this opportunity once every comet Neowise.

But be careful everyone, there is nothing that says these websites are genuine merchant sites. They may just take your money and run away.

Worse still, they may be phising sites that want your credit or debit card information. Unless of course you can checkout via PayPal.

I know that some people may just want to get it for the kicks.
