Never seen one scope yet i wanted on my local CL. Most all the real Newts are in Cali and Unitrons seem to be in the northeast the most.

Much of what I see on Kajiji in Toronto is junk like branded "National Geographic" 50mm refractors, etc.

At least Tak SCT's were hits unlike Celestron SCT's.  But you are paying much more so i would expect a better scope.

The Tak is pretty highly rated, but it does still have focus shift from the reviews I’ve read.  The $3900 price is in Euros.

Cute wording on the Meade R&P, not mentioning it's missing the 2" eyepiece holder ring.

Bill (Telescope Warehouse) usually has the plastic ring (2 thumbscrew version) at a low price, and occasionally the aluminum ring.  IIRC, the ring on the uber-cheap Meade all plastic 2" diagonal also fits.
