I enjoy viewing globular clusters more than any other DSOs. However,I always make a point to try to view and draw any target that is less than popular. One such object is ngc 6259, a large open cluster in the lower portions of Scorpio who's stars are moderately faint. Reminiscent of 7789 but overall fainter.A good target for transparent evenings

Michael,

This is a fine looking open cluster with many faint stars.

Nice work sketching it.

Frank :)

Michael,
Very fine sketch. Reminds me of a picture or actual eyepiece view. Very nice.
